Protect the Plan

Protect More Than the Portfolio.

A client's financial strategy can be disrupted by more than market performance. Death, disability, extended care needs, critical illness, business interruption, or the loss of a key employee can create an unexpected need for capital.

We help build and manage the insurance strategy designed to protect the client and their wealth, the business they've built, and the people who help make it successful.

Help Protect Assets Under Management

Protect the Financial Strategy You've Already Built.

The Risk

A disability, extended-care event, critical illness, or business emergency can force clients to access investment assets earlier or faster than planned.

The Strategy

Appropriate insurance strategies can provide another source of funds and help reduce the need to liquidate assets intended for retirement, investment, business, or legacy objectives.

You manage your client's financial strategy. We manage the insurance strategy designed to help protect it.

A Smarter Way to Apply

Before Your Client Applies, Let's Look at the Case.

Insurance companies don't all evaluate the same risk the same way. Before a client submits a formal application, we can help evaluate the situation and determine a more appropriate path forward.

What are we trying to protect?

Understand the Situation

We start with the client — the objective, coverage need, health considerations, occupation, financial circumstances, business situation, and timing.

Before looking at a carrier or product, we want to understand what the insurance strategy actually needs to accomplish.

Where does this case fit?

Evaluate the Market

We evaluate available strategies, carriers, products, underwriting considerations, and case-specific opportunities rather than automatically sending the client to one company.

Different carriers can view the same medical history, occupation, financial circumstances, business purpose, or coverage amount differently.

Then we decide where to apply.

Choose the Path

Once we understand the case and available options, we can help determine the appropriate insurance strategy, carrier, and underwriting path.

When appropriate, underwriting resources can also help us evaluate a case before a formal application is submitted.

Common Questions

Working With Us

Why should I work with you instead of sending my client directly to an insurance company?

Insurance is not one-size-fits-all. Different carriers may have different products, underwriting guidelines, pricing, financial requirements, and areas of strength.

As an independent insurance resource, we can evaluate multiple carriers and solutions rather than being limited to one company. We also have access to specialized underwriting, advanced case design, case management, and carrier resources to help manage cases ranging from straightforward coverage to large and complex planning needs.

Our role is to manage the insurance strategy while working alongside the professionals already advising your client.

Will you try to take over my client relationship?

No. Your client relationship matters.

We're brought in to manage the insurance side of the case — not to replace the client's financial advisor, CPA, attorney, or other professional relationships.

We stay focused on the insurance strategy, underwriting, carrier selection, case management, and implementation while collaborating with the client's professional team when appropriate.

What types of client cases can I bring to you?

A wide range — from everyday protection needs to advanced and complex cases.

That can include life insurance, disability and income protection, long-term care, critical illness, estate and business succession planning, Buy-Sell funding, Key Person protection, premium financing, life settlements, business loan protection, executive benefits, health insurance, and employee benefits.

You don't need to determine the insurance solution before contacting us. Bring us the situation.

What makes your approach different?

We don't start by assuming a particular carrier or product.

We start with what the client is trying to accomplish, then evaluate the insurance need, available strategies, carrier options, underwriting considerations, and implementation path.

Because we're independent, we can work across multiple carriers and use specialized resources when a case requires additional underwriting or advanced-planning expertise.

Can you evaluate a case before my client formally applies?

In many situations, yes.

When health history, previous declines, medications, occupation, avocations, financial underwriting, coverage amount, or other circumstances could affect the outcome, we may be able to evaluate the situation before deciding where to formally apply.

Can you handle large or complex life insurance cases?

Yes. We work with cases of all sizes, including situations involving large coverage amounts, business ownership, estate and succession planning, premium financing, complex financial underwriting, advanced ownership structures, and difficult medical underwriting.

For qualified applicants, certain programs may provide instant life insurance decisions for coverage amounts up to $5 million, while larger and more complex cases can be handled through traditional and advanced underwriting channels.

Can you help protect assets my client has accumulated or has under management?

Insurance can provide another source of funds when events such as disability, extended care needs, critical illness, or death create unexpected financial demands.

Appropriate life, disability, long-term care, and other insurance strategies may help reduce the need to prematurely liquidate assets intended for retirement, investment, business, or legacy objectives.

We manage the insurance strategy while the client's financial advisor continues to manage the investment and financial strategy.

Do you work with my client's attorney, CPA, financial advisor, or other professionals?

Yes. In many business, estate, executive benefit, and advanced-planning cases, collaboration is important.

We can work alongside the client's attorney, CPA, financial advisor, lender, business advisor, and other professionals, focusing on the insurance components while the appropriate professionals handle legal, tax, investment, and other areas within their expertise.

Can you help my business-owner clients beyond life insurance?

Yes. We can help address protection across the owner, business, and employees, including disability and income protection, Key Person coverage, Business Overhead Expense, Buy-Sell funding, business succession, commercial loan protection, health insurance, group benefits, executive benefits, and other insurance needs.

That allows you to bring us the business owner's situation, rather than having to find a different insurance resource for every need.

How do I get started with a client case?

You don't need a completed application or even know which insurance product your client needs.

Tell us who the client is, what you're trying to accomplish, any known concerns, and whether there's a deadline. We'll help determine the appropriate next step.
